Notes on how we should set-up emails for church use.

Email types

The church should own the various e-mails used for church business. Theses e-mails should be created in such a way that if a person steps away from a position with access the e-mail address can be turned ofer to whomever takes over the position later.

Like secrets they should be limited to specific use cases.

Super user

• An email address used to register domains.
• This email should come from a provider not attached to domains the church controls, eg [email protected]
• Access to this email should be pretty heavly limited to the IT admin and one other trustworthy person

1. Admin
   • This email should be attached as the admin e-mail for secrets and handles the day-to-day operations of accounts.
   • [email protected]
2. Pastor
   • This email is for the pastor’s eyes only.
   • A way for the pastor to communicate privately with only the technical director having the ability to acces the account if needed.
   • [email protected]
3. Accounting
   • This email is for the tresurer to access systems for payments
   • [email protected]
4. Clerk
   • This would be for the church clerk to communicate with when needed.
   • [email protected]
5. Youth Pastor?
   • For the youth pastor to use when an email is needed.
   • [email protected]
6. Worship Leader?
   • For the Worship Leader to be able to give out when needed.
   • [email protected]
