Projection Setup

The projection system is currently used to display announcements to the back of house projector, nursery tv, and live stream.

Software Used

We use Presenter from worshiptools. This software requires a log-in and users are able to edit the presentations from anywhere and it will update at the church. There is an account that is logged in to Presenter on the media computer and the streaming computer.

Presenting

Currently all projection is run from the streaming computer. A HDMI network distribution switch sends the projection to the Front of House Projector, Back of House Projector, and Video Switcher (which feeds the Nursery TV and Live Stream).

To activate a presentation start Presenter:

1. Select a Service to present
2. Select a presentation item
   • If there are no slides, songs, or Scriptures added to the service item the presention will be a blank screen.

Pre-Service Presentation

• When running the announcements before the service press F6, or click more -> countdown at the top of the Presenter window.
• Choose a countdown template based on the service about to start
• Click start and the timer will display in line with the “Service Starting in…” test on the lower right of the presentation

Post-Service Presentation

• Simply click the Post-Service Service Item and allow the Presentation to run while shutting everything down

Creating Presentations and editing Presentations

Presenter takes services created in worshiptools Planning. Services created in Planning will be available to everything in worshiptools.

To edit you must install Presenter and log-in to your worshiptools account. Once logged in any changes you make are synced and made available to any machine running Presenter.

Service Items can be a Blank item with a name and notes, a Song that pulls the lyrics from CCLI Song Select, a “Slides” item that uses a Presentation created in Presenter, or a Passage of scripture.

When creating a presentation it will be displayed over the background selected for the service. One of the simplest ways to create a service is to duplicate an existing service, this brings over all the service items for a service, then edit them to reflect the new service.

Announcement presentations are duplicated each week and edited to reflect the changes made to the announcements for the week. The slides for the weekly announcements are saved in the format “YYYYMMDD Morning/Evening Pre/Post-Service.

Differences between Pre/Post and Morning/Evening Announcement Slides

• Pre-Service announcements have “Service Starting in…” Test at the lower right of the presentation for the countdown to start of service time
• Post-Service announcements have “Thank you for worshiping with us Today/Tonight” as the first slide.
• Morning announcements will change references for the afternoon and evening activities to “today” instead of “Sundays”
  • Rehearsals will be “X Practice Today at Y PM”
  • Evening Service will be “Sunday Evening Service Tonight at 6:00 PM”
