Sound System Documentation
Documentation on how to operate the sound systems and how things are laid out.
Operation
System operation is simplified currently while the normal mixer is non-functional.
Start-up Sequence
- Turn on the Media Computer
- This is the black computer tower in the Booth under and to the left of the Mixer.
- Turn on the power in the Sound Booth
- This is the top JuiceGoose in the rack under the mixer
- Turn on the Amps
- This is the 3rd item in the rack under the mixer. It is a rotary knob turning it to the “up” position will sequence on the Amps.
- Begin using
- All inputs and outputs are labeled
- Using settings at “Unity” or 0 for the channel faders is typically a good place to start.
Shut-Down Sequence
- Turn off the Amps.
- The 3rd item from the top in the rack under the mixer
- Turn the rotary knob “down” and wait for the bottom light to come on.
- Turn off the top JuiceGoose in the rack under the mixer
- Turn off any other componenets used
Mixer Set-up
- The current mixer we are using is an Allen-Heath 24 channel mixer.
- Inputs are clearly labeled on each channel.
- Outputs
- Main R goes to the Hearing Assistance system
- Main L goes to the Nursary
- Mono out goes to the Main speakers
- Aux 3 goes to the “stage” speakers, including the speakers flown from the celing, the Stage Monitors, Piano monitor, and Organ monitor.
- Aux 4 goes to the Streaming Computer
